Kaboo when to vets as he wasn't himself. His stomach was soft and empty and Shrewsbury thought it was Stasis. Kaboo was admitted and was being treated for stasis and do further investigations.
The vets have performed further diagnostics and unfortunately chronic and degenerative changes to his liver have been detected. The liver is very mottled and biopsies and cultures have been taken and we've paid to prioritise and fast track the results. Boom is remaining hospitalised on pain relief and supportive care, when the results are back we can then make a plan, IF there is a chance at reversing the damage.
Kaboo results came back, 80% of his liver Is dead/dying. and considering how sick he was, he back at the sanctuary like nothing had happened. they are not sure what the actual cause is, it could have be toxins/poison which is the less likely option because he lives with a group of rabbits who all eat the same diet. the other cause could have been an infection. But the best news is Kaboo is back at the rescue!
I really think Kaboo deserves a mystery box filled with yummy treats, forage and toys.
